Macy's Flower Show Part 2

Hope you enjoyed the pix of the flower show yesterday, because here are some more!

Cacti and succulents are so popular now, it was fun to see these here.

Here is another shot of those huge lillies at the base of the torch.

I wish we had cherry trees here, so pretty!

Afterwards we hung out at the downtown Barnes and Noble, IDS building and Target. Below is a shot looking up in the crystal court of the IDS building.

A lovely day indeed! Bye for now!

Macy's Flower Show 2016 Part 1

One of my favorite things about spring, is the Macy's Flower Show at the downtown Minneapolis store. If they ever decide to stop doing it, it will be a sad day. I have so many pix, I will divide them into two posts.

This time we managed to get some shots of us, and I'm so glad we did! I can't believe how long we've been going to these.

The theme was flowers from all the different areas of the country, from the east to west coast. Of course, my favorite flower was the daffodil!

And that yellow azalea bush was another fav! I want one of these for my yard!

Below is a replica of the top of the Statue of Liberty's torch, decked out with flowers. Notice the huge lillies around the base, I couldn't believe how big they were!

Stay tuned for part two tomorrow! Bye for now!

What We Wore to the Flower Show

We had a blast at the Macy's Flower Show in downtown Minneapolis on Saturday, and I have a bunch of pics to show you later. And, not only did I wear a dress, but so did my daughter.
Dress: H & M
Floral blouse, purse, enamel pins and gingham jacket: vintage
Sandals: Old Navy
I got to wear my new sandals that are the tan version of the black ones I wore last week. I really love them!

My daughter chose to pair a dress she had from last summer, with new tights and my jacket.
Tights and dress: gift

What I Wore to See Zootopia

Finally I'm feeling better, so we decided to head out and go to see a movie. We decided to go to Zootopia, since we'd heard so much good about it. We really enjoyed it! It also gave me a chance to wear my new shoes from Old Navy. Even better, after the movie we went shopping in the mall and I found the other tan pair and they were 40% off! I new I had to get them.
Blouse: vintage
Skirt, tights and jacket: Target (my daughter wanted to wear my moto jacket, so we traded and I wore hers)
Shoes: Old Navy

Shop Update

I may not have gotten much done lately, because of my cold, but I did list some new lapel pins in my shop!
I've added three new pastel cat lapel pins in pink, mint green and light blue. Perfect for spring or all year round!

They look just adorable on collars and jackets, especially when you cluster them together! So head on over to Happy as a Lark Shop!
Bye for now!
