Minnesota Fall part 1

The falling leaves drift by the window
The autumn leaves of red and gold
I see your lips, the summer kisses
The sun-burned hands I used to hold

Since you went away the days grow long
And soon I'll hear old winter's song
But I miss you most of all my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall

What I Wore

We headed out to do a little clothes shopping for my daughter and I decided to wear my new black dress with my vintage plaid poncho and my new black moto boots. I wasn't sure if the boots would go with this dress, but I love how they look.
Dress: Forever 21
Vintage poncho and crossbody bag: thrift
Boots and tights: Target
Black cat brooch: made by me

Of course I couldn't help doing a little window shopping myself. Here I am at H&M swooning over this aztec print dress and black moto jacket. Doesn't that jacket look perfect with the dress?

The Falling Leaves

Another walk at our favorite park to see what color we might find. We weren't disappointed, there were lots of changing leaves to see.

This tree was especially pretty, with a gold and orange glow.

We never tire of coming to this place, it's so special.
I hope the colors are beautiful where you are. Bye for now!

What I Wore

On Saturday we went to see the movie "The Martian", and we really loved it! It was going to be a warmer than average day, but I still wanted to have a fall feeling. So I chose my vintage dress in fall colors paired with brown boots and tights.
Dress: vintage
Boots, tights, purse: Target
Necklace: 21
Owl Pin: made by me

And owls are fall themed so I added an owl necklace and made an owl pin. The pin got so many compliments l thought I'd better make one for my shop asap!

Shop Update

I've been adding some great new items to my Etsy shop, so it's time to give an update. Something that's new is some smaller pins I came up with, with a smaller price. Like this cute black cat that looks adorable on my new dress.

And I also made a Siamese version in chocolate brown and cream. Meow!

And lastly I also finished a new mini bunting in black and white. So fun!
Go see them all in my shop.

Fall in the Park

My  daughter and I spent Saturday afternoon at our favorite place to walk, Palmer Lake Park. It was such a beautiful fall day. As we walked by the marshy lake, I noticed that the cat tails were so high that you couldn't see over them.

The ducks were enjoying a swim in a pond.

And a fuzzy caterpillar made his way across the path ever so slowly.

We even took a selfie which I'm usually loathe to do.

Now if more trees would turn color I would be really happy.  Hope everyone is having a great fall so far.
