Pastel Cupcakes

 My daughter requested cupcakes,
so in the spirit of spring
I made vanilla with pretty pastel frosting.
They turned out pretty,
and yummy too.
I only had one though,
trying to limit the sugary snacks!

What I Wore

Even though there was no snow,
it was a little too cold to hang out in the back yard,
so back inside for my pix.

Daffodil Cottage is My Newest PIn

As you can see, I've had daffodils on my mind lately.
So it's probably no surprise that my first new pin this spring
is a Daffodil Cottage!
Bright spring colors, gingham and a teenie tiny windmill.
I love how this pin turned out,
please do go see it at my shop!

And here are the crocheted daffodils
in the newly refurbished pitcher.
Hope it brightens your day!
Have a great weekend!

Vintage Hankies

The other day I was ironing these vintage hankies
when I realized I'd never taken photos of them,
shame on me!
They are just too pretty!
It's hard to find a good use for them in today's world,
I hung some up in my bedroom clothesline style.
I tend to love the brighter colored ones now,
but most of these were handed down to me by my mom
so there are some more pastel ones too.
The flower basket one above is one of my favs.

 These two are favorites
because they have yellow in them.

And I love how this one is round,
that seems to be rather uncommon for hankies!
Which one is your favorite?

What We Wore

It was a really spring like day,
so we were back outside for our pix.
Hope it doesn't snow again,
it's much more fun taking pix outside.

Friday Inspiration

I would love to try making a rug for my kitchen,
using bobble crochet!

And I'm dreaming of these shoes,
wouldn't they be perfect for spring?

Also, I would like to try some new recipes.
Like this recipe for Garbanzo Cakes!
And this recipe for Layered Bean Salad!

What I'm Working On

Finally working on a new pin,
I'm on a daffodil kick I guess!
Also painting over the flowers on this old pitcher.

 Later, this little duckling
wanted to visit the daffodil wreath.
He does look pretty cute sitting there!

Someday I want to try some cross stitch.
I love cross stitch on gingham,
they call this chicken scratch.

What are you working on?

What I Wore

It was actually feeling a little bit like spring,
in the 30s, which is better than the teens!

What I'm Working On

I've been crocheting more daffodils to fill a pitcher.
I wish they were real, but then they wouldn't last as long
would they?
Do you have a favorite spring flower?
