Spring Garland

I decided to crochet up a spring garland using
leftover yarn from a baby blanket.
Not a fan of weaving in the ends,
my least favorite part of crocheting!

But the scraps look pretty,
too bad I can't plant them and grow more yarn!
 This is my favorite part,
Seeing the finished product!
Bye for now!

Thrift Store Finds

Found a bit more yarn at the thrift,
including some soft yellow cotton!
And a cute pattern for a shirt diress,
don't love the fabric they used, but I love the pocket detail.

Too Much Snow!

I think pictures speak louder than words here...
help, we've been buried!
But here is a sneek peek of springier things!

How Much Longer till Spring?

As I write this, it is snowing here.
Like crazy!
We're supposed to get 8 to 12 inches!
Just the other day it was melting!
I knew the nice weather probably wouldn't last,

So I crocheted some new coasters
just for spring!
After looking at all the white,
I need some pretty colors.

Spring Has Sprung!

 Spring has sprung!
At least it has, in my shop!
Imagine wearing this lovely crochet necklace
with a pretty dress for a garden party.
Or with a cardi on a breezy spring day!
Find it in my shop now!
And, check back for more springy things soon!

Learning New Stitches

I recently purchased some lovely cotton yarn,
and set about to learn new stitches like this scroll stitch,
 and the crocodile stitch,
trying to come up with ideas.
More on that soon!

Thrift Store Finds

I finally got to the thrift,
and I was so happy to find some
cotton crochet thread in lovely spring colors!
 And this cropped jean jacket!
I've been searching for one that
is short enough for my short waist!

Bye for now!

Lace Bookmark DIY

Here is a quick little tutorial that you can use
to make cute little bookmarks for gifts
for Valentines or birthdays or Mother's Day,
anytime!
 You just need lace ribbon,
(this is a perfect use for scraps!)
fabric stiffener or watered down glue,
brush,
and wax paper to work on.
You can cut the lace first or wait till it's dry.
After drying, you can trim the ends with a
scrapbooking scissors,
and use a punch to add decoration.
I also added a hole to one end and
threaded it with embroidery thread for a sash.
Aren't these pretty!
Bye for now!

Crochet Boot Toppers

I made some fun little crochet boot toppers last weekend,
they were quick and easy.
I just did a rib cuff and added shell stitches to the top.
They look adorable with my winter boots!
bye for now!
