Crafty Creations

My latest project is making some Christmas
presents for my daughter.
She was admiring a scarf I'd made
for myself,
so I made one for her in pink
and accented it with sequins.

Then I thought I would make matching ponytail holders,
and a hairclip too!
Here is the scarf

 and the ponytail holders

 and the hairclip,
attached to a headband.

I think they turned out pretty cute,
and I can't wait to see them on her!
bye for now!

Thrifty Finds

The thrift store has been a goldmine of great vintage
Christmas lately!

My favorite finds are definitely the flocked ornies
and the burlap angel!
I mean coffee pots, guitars and slippers!
What could be cuter!

And this ball ornie is probably homemade,
but just as beautiful.

And I just love these stockings
that look like victorian boots!
I saw some last year and talked myself
out of them,
and now I regret it.
Oh well!

 Happy Thrifting
and
bye for now!

What I Wore

This is one of my favorite outfits so far!
Vintage dress: thrift store
Tights and boots: Target
Posh Posie Necklace: made by me
Ring: a present from my daughter.

I used the necklace as a belt
and then accented with the pin.

Farewell to my Mom
1920-2011

When Someone you love becomes a memory
the memory becomes a treasure.

To live in hearts we leave behind
is not to die.

We may forget what you said,
but we will never forget
how you made us feel.

I will miss you terribly Mom,
but I will never forget you
all that you meant to us,
and all that you leave behind.

The Grim Reaper Loves Candy

The Grim Reaper visited us this Halloween,
and I don't mind telling you
that she was a little crabby!

Maybe even a touch peeved.

But then she went trick or treating,
and it was all good!
Nothing like a little chocolate to put a smile on your face!

Oh, and I can't forget to show the pumpkin carving
skills this year.

The results were spook-tac-u-lar!

Hope you had a wonderful Halloween!
Bye for now!
